About EFT (Energy Psychology)

I have done research on the effect of EFT on golf performance. The results of my research and work with golfers is written up in my two books for golfers.

What is EFT?

EFT is a new psychological treatment procedure based on the principles of acupuncture and acupressure. It can be thought of as acupressure for psychological issues.

In 1997 the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health endorsed acupuncture for the treatment of nausea and dental pain. They also said that there was evidence that acupuncture may be effective for addiction, stroke, rehabilitation, headache, menstrual cramps, tennis elbow, fibromyalgia, low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and asthma.

In the United States in the 1960s, Dr. George Goodheart, a chiropractor, developed the field of applied kinesiology which includes percussing (tapping) acupuncture points. In the 1980s, a psychiatrist, Dr. John Diamond, and a psychologist, Roger Callahan, Ph.D., applied Dr. Goodheart's procedures to psychological issues. Their work lead to the development of the field now called "Energy Psychology."

My research, coaching, and clinical experience has shown that EFT is a powerful treatment method with wide application. EFT is one version of a class of new treatments called Energy Psychology.  EFT was developed by Gary Craig and is simple, straight-forward, and easy to learn. You can learn EFT from one of the non-golf books below, from my book Energy Psychology and the Yips Cure and Prevention, or by working with me directly.
